My views on our world

 I'm starting to think the world has gone mad atm. Israel and Iran are now at war and fighting, Russia is still trying to take over Ukraine, and Israel is also still terrorising the Palestinian people. So what happened to net zero and clean air with all these bombs flying around and exploding? I think the whole idea of clean air has bit the dust literally now. I'm not sure what they are all fighting for especially with Israel and Palestine. Surely they have had enough revenge for the October attack by now. They have been fighting each other for years but I do think enough is enough now. The only thing to gain from these wars are broken countries, bankrupt economys, buildings and homes seriously damaged, loss of thousands of lives on both sides, and enough pollution to undo the last several years of of reducing emissions.

I was very sad to read about the tragic Air India flight the other day. Looking at various news sites I can also see that 4 other Air India planes have had to return to their departure airport for technical problems over the last few days. Also, in India, a few helicopters have crashed very recently too. Now India is a large country so perhaps this number of accidents and incidents is in proportion to what happens in other countries, and the media is just focusing on India because of the terrible recent plane crash. But I can't help but wonder if it's all somehow connected and outside forces are at work. Everything being computer linked if hackers can shut down our shopping and banking apps could they disturb the workings of aviation? I really hope I'm wrong about this but reading various online comments I know I'm not alone with this theory.

Condolences to all the families and friends of all who have lost their lives RIP.

Recovering.....

 Have been quite ill this week which was unfortunate as we had both sons staying here. It started with bad stomach pain last weekend so I rang the GP Monday morning. 3 hours later the Dr saw me did blood tests etc and sent me home with antibiotics. Late afternoon he rang again and sent me to hospital! I was so shocked but apparently I needed IV medication. Had 5 ECGs maybe 6 I lost count, probably due to the shock of being sent to hospital lol Weight, more blood, urine tests, and what I think was a dementa test lol. Do you know where you are, what year is it, date of birth, say the months of the year backwards starting with December!!!!!!!! Pleased to say I passed. Off for a chest x-ray, hooked up on a drip all in one hour of arrival. Husband said it's restored his faith in the NHS. It is definately nothing like you see on the news condemming the poor service to patients. Babysitting and Dr Who's kitchen!

 Travelled back to our hometown yesterday and called in to see our eldest son. He's renovating his dining room and it's starting to look very good. Son always strips everything back when decorating, ie new patio doors, walls plastered, new flooring, new skirting board etc. He's definitely a perfectionist. We met DGD on the way to daughter's home riding her bike home from school. DD and her colleagues all meet up in a local pub with their children every Friday, so we spent an hour there before going to DDs home. Its really nice that they are all friends as well as colleagues. Today, Saturday, OH put up a shelf in DGDs bedroom, and then we spent the day visiting relatives. Managed to catch 2 nieces, 2 sisters, sister's boyfriend, and our Brother-in-law. Haven't seen him for months, as he's been staying on and off with his mum and sister since my sister died last year. That's Christmas Done!

 It was a bit chaotic here at Christmas as son, daughter and granddaughter all arrived. I did go to the pub Xmas Eve which was nice. They had a guitarist singing some old song like 'My old man's a dustman' which took me back to when I used to take my mum out Xmas Eve. She used to love the Salvation army band playing in the streets. Now I'm not religious at all but have every respect for the Salvation Army as they have an excellent brass band. They always turned up at our home with presents and food for mum and my siblings when I was young.  Also, they were the only people to get my late brother off of drugs permanently, and several other agencies had tried for years, including all the drug workers from various agencies, including social services They also found him accommodation as he was homeless at the time.                  The Demon cars              My kitchen worktop!
