An Update
Well, the family all went home, and I was left with piles of washing - think 5 lots of bedding as eldest son came to stay too last weekend. No problem if you have a working washing machine but mine was definitely on the way out. The spinner sounded like a jet taking off at Heathrow as it was so loud. Thankfully, we have insurance on it so it's now been fixed. I'm actually down to half a basket of washing today, which is much more normal. The machine is so quiet now I'm forgetting it's even on. Had to pay for a new rubber door seal, but the new drum and bearings were covered by the insurance policy tg.
Last year wasn't very good for me health wise so hopefully this year will be better. I had 5 chest infections and a bladder infection that sent me to hospital. I've had so many medical tests this year it seems unreal. 6 ECGs, bladder and kidney scans, urine and pooh tests, chest x-ray, lung cancer scan, so many blood tests, heart scan, and breast cancer screening. Yesterday, an email came from my GP asking me to make an appointment for a yearly review at the surgery!!! So far apart from slightly raised cholesterol and blood pressure they haven't found anything wrong. I didn't ask for any of these scans or tests either. I'm not happy with the steroids I was prescribed for each chest infection as a few weeks later some of my hair falls out. They do clear the infection much quicker though. My hair does grow back but now I have lots of short bits sticking up. It is a known side effect as I've checked with the doctor. They definitely keep a check on you here in Devon UK lol.
That's quite enough about my health. I've made a few resolutions this year to start driving again, go for a walk a few times a week and finish making my blanket I'm knitting. That's it so nothing too strenuous lol. I do need to spring clean my office too but I've made a start by putting all the large empty boxes up the loft. If anything large sells OH will get me one down to post it in. Ebay is quite slow atm so very little selling. They have lots of adverts online and on TV so must be realising buyers protection fees have affected trade. Really silly thing to do. I did sell a couple of small toys in the run up to Xmas and our daughter's old WII and games to a family on holiday here.
We had high winds here in South Devon but thankfully no damage to anything. Sadly, no snow here yet. I love walking in the snow when it's settled before it freezes. We get weather warnings every day for ice and snow just the same.
Bye for now All the best
