Suprise Suprise!
On Saturday evening my daughter rang me for a chat around half past nine. While we were still chatting on the phone the doorbell rang and in walked daughter and granddaughter carrying a bouquet of flowers each and a Mother's Day card. She was still talking to me on the phone! I had no idea they were coming, as I knew they had gone to a zoo earlier in the day near Bristol. OH rushed upstairs to sort out the pull out bed and bedding. I always get it ready the day before when I know someone is arriving. Our youngest son gave our daughter a card and chocolates to bring to me too.
Daughter and granddaughter stayed the night and went to bed around half past 11. Then, at 11.45pm, our eldest son rang me to wish me a happy Mother's Day! Apparently, they had all gone out for a meal and he fell asleep on the sofa when they came home. Well the thought was there and he knows I'm always around until 1am anyway lol.
On Sunday we all drove to Dawlish and found a nice tea room for coffee and cake. OH cooked a nice roast beef dinner in the evening for us all before daughter and granddaughter left for home.
I've ordered the leilandi tree from ebay and OH will put it in a large pot. It should be OK as long as we keep it trimmed back. I've found that a piece of it sets off a nice background for a vase of flowers imo. I've also treated myself to a padded jacket to wear when it's really cold. At £6 including postage you can't really go wrong and it's definitely cheaper than the charity shops around here. This week I've sold 4 things on ebay - some dishes, toys and 2 dresses. That's the most I've sold for weeks. My decluttering is never going to finish at this rate lol. Plus daughter brought me another 10 things granddaughter has outgrown to sell for her!
I'm not doing much else this week apart from housework, washing and sorting paperwork which is all in desperate need.
Bye for now All the best
