Just a few problems
It's official! I actually dread updating my phone. Why, you may ask? Well it messes up everything that I've already set like staying logged in to Google, or even preventing me to log in unless I do it several times. Logging me out of various other sites I'm on. I'm unable to get predictive text on 3 different sites, and all day today I'm anonymous on my own blog. That has now been rectified as of 10 minutes ago. Did I do anything to help it. No, it just magically decided to recognise me again. Google sends me an email each time I log in marked security alert, so that's more work deleting unwanted emails It's quite difficult for me to decipher passwords as although they are stored on my phone they are in code and heavily abbreviated. But that will change.....
Martin Lewis made a very good suggestion a few months ago. He advised keeping all passwords in a book somewhere. His reasoning was: it's more likely that you will loose your phone, or have it stolen than it is for someone to break into your home and find the book of passwords. I think he's right on this so I've decided to obtain a jotter, diary, address book, or indeed, something to write on, and adopt his suggestion. It won't stop the updates messing everything up, but at least it will be easier to attempt to access all my sites again - hopefully 😀
My oven is playing up again. It's registering 180C on the display but the oven is actually 150C inside when we tested it. It took 2 and a half hours to cook a roast meal this week by turning the dial up to 230C. Inside the oven was actually 170C. This is the 3rd time we've had this problem. It's a Hotpoint self cleaning oven but the self clean only does half the job anyway. What made it worse was trying to get hold of the insurers D&G or even Hotpoint service. I spent all day ringing all their numbers only to be told to book online and then cut off. Tried online several times but their screen kept freezing with half the writing missing. Late last night I went on chat with their bot. Problem sorted my appointment is Friday. How did I sort it? I threatened to go to the ombudsman for fraudulently selling me a policy for repairs that I wasn't able to contact. My appointment came by text, email and on the bot chat at 9.09am today. It's not a good oven and I wouldn't advise anyone to buy one. I'm hoping they will write it off, fingers crossed
Bye for now All the best
