Dr's again, U3A
Well the cough got so much worse so I had to go to the GP this week. Phoned at lunchtime and was seen just after 5pm, and sadly I'm back on antibiotics and the dreaded steroids again. Antibiotics affect my ability to think straight - they always have I don't know why. Definitely can't drive on them. Steroids make some of my hair fall out in about 5 or 6 weeks time. It's a known side effect of them and it does grow back again eventually. I had to go as I was coughing all night so no sleep for me or OH, who started sleeping on the sofa after the 3rd night lol.
The weather here today is torrential rain, and very windy all day, so I'm having a pyjama day chilling at home. I actually wear a track suit, not proper pyjamas. I think they call it lounge wear lol. OH and son took the dogs to the beach, which they loved. They normally hate the rain unless it's on the beach, which is strange but true 😆
I felt much better yesterday so walked to the U3A meeting for the monthly tea and chat. I haven't walked anywhere for over a week so it was good to get out and get some exercise. It was much more sociable than usual with mince pies, mulled wine, biscuits, tea and coffee. Usually its just little groups playing board games which isn't really my thing.
Son is going home again today, he's been up and down a few times over the last few weeks due to the bad weather. Next week I have a dental appointment for a check up so will be staying with daughter and granddaughter. Originally it was for 2 nights but we will stay longer as she has a parcel delivery coming. The very rude DPD driver told her to be home or they will send it back and she can buy it from a shop at full price! I think it was an Amazon Black Friday deal for granddaughter's Xmas present 🎁
My washing machine is making a terrible noise when it spins. It sounds like an aeroplane taking off! I've just had the oven fixed so at least that's working. Will ring to try and make an appointment when we get home from daughter's home. It is 6yrs old so probably had its day. Good job it's insured, as this is an expensive time for us with both sons' birthdays and Xmas all within a month.
Bye for now All the best

Comments welcome
Hi Sally, thank you for visiting my blog and commenting. I'm sorry you are having a terrible cough but glad you were seen by a doctor and were prescribed antibiotics and other medications. Although, it sounds like they all come with side effects! At least you are feeling better and you were able to enjoy a nice tea at the U3A meeting. I hope your dental appointment goes well and it's nice that you are able to stay with your daughter and stay long enough to accept a package for her. Hope your washing machine doesn't need any repairs. 6 years doesn't seem like a long time for a washing machine.
