Vet and Shopping

Decided to take the dog to the vet as she keeps limping on and off. Started 2 months ago just once a week, then ok. It's been gradually increasing but most of the time she's walking and running completely normally. She didn't limp at all at the vets and showed no sign of any discomfort at all - typical!! So they prescribed an anti inflammatory and pain medication liquid and will review in 2 weeks. Aren't vets expensive now - £60 to see the vet and £37 for a small bottle of meds! And if it gets worse it's a scan starting at £2k upwards. She is insured tg. On a plus side she's only limped once since - perhaps it was the manipulation examination of her legs that helped.

Went to Morrisons as I'd seen online they had a special offer on the round plastic tubs of chocolates for £2. They were marked £6 when we got there. The catch is you have to spend £45 to get 1 tub at the special price of £2. Didn't say that online. So as we had already started scanning our shopping we held up the till while OH  went to get additional items and I fetched the 1 tub of chocolates. By then the self service till had froze so there followed a 20 minute wait for the assistant. He was so busy as many people were having trouble scanning items. All in it took over an hour to get a few things, and I still need another 3 tubs for family members for Xmas.

I'm hoping to create a Xmas table decoration this Xmas so OH picked me some thistles to spray gold and silver and I found a bag of Xmas bits in a charity shop for £1. Will post a pic when its made.

As a footnote I don't usually do craft and have only ever made one thing before, 'the Blue Peter Snowman,' when the children were small. Cue, toilet roll and small ball head covered in glue and cotton wool. So were the kids, the table, the walls, the carpet, the dining chairs, all clothing and hair lolol. Took 2 hours to bath the kids, and clean up the horrific mess of my dining room. My adult children still remember it 😆 So I'm hoping this attempt will be much less messy as I won't have 3 small helpers.

Just home from shopping when Mark rang to say he's coming for Sunday and Monday as he has a day off and Monday was cancelled. Now they've cancelled Tuesday too so will be here until tomorrow night. He works with ships so if the weather is bad or ships are delayed he gets time off. But at busy times can work 2 weeks straight with no time off at all. He's happy in the job so that's a bonus.

Bye for now All the best x
