An Update

Drying by the Fire

 It's raining every day here which is quite depressing atm. OH took the dogs for a walk today but they weren't really keen as they hate rain. Love the sea and swimming, lying in muddy puddles but raining is a no go lol.

I'm sitting down with my feet up resting my broken ankle - it's a great excuse lol. We are watching Mr Bates vs the Post Office on TV again tonight. Its the last episode. So sad those poor people prosecuted for theft that they didn't do. Some even went to prison including our local postmaster where we used to live. The corner shop was owned by a lovely family and their son was the postmaster. He was imprisoned for 18months for theft. Rumours spread and his mum was telling people it was the Horizon system faulty but nobody believed her. They lost the business and their home. We're subjected to racist abuse, it was terrible. He was very fast and polite very efficient. We used that post office all the time. The shop across the road took it over but they didn't last long, then it was a 2mile drive to the main post office.

We're off to stay with my daughter at the weekend, to help with removing her kitchen units ready for the kitchen fitters to install a new one. Going to be a bit chaotic with the 2 dogs I think. Someone is buying the old units, and even if they don't turn up she has over 20 others wanting to buy it. Saves several tip runs lol.

Need to sort out my office as I'm inundated with cardboard boxes I've saved from everyone's Xmas presents. Will need them when things sell so can't throw them away. Sales still good even over Xmas which surprised me. I'm also selling herbs from the garden as OH was just cutting back the bushes and throwing it in the bin. Seemed such a waste. I only make £1 on each bunch after post charge, sealed bags etc but I can't stand waste and it avoids it going to landfill.
